Heather Blum of TowedStudio.com is a goldsmith, multimedia artist, toolmaker, mentor, and voracious learner. She resides in the stunning Sonoran Desert, where the vibrant and edgy landscapes inspire discovery.
While her craftsmanship reflects an understanding of traditional techniques, she is committed to pushing the boundaries of her medium with technology. Currently, she is exploring the incorporation of 3D technology into the ancient arts of goldsmithing, casting, mosaic, and clay, creating a fusion that honors the past while looking toward the future.
Teaching is at the heart of Heather’s practice. She delights in sharing her knowledge, brainstorming with other makers, and guiding aspiring artists through the intricacies of metalwork, or any area of knowledge.

David is a seasoned mosaic artist that enjoys working with tile products meant for residential and commercial projects. David has grown as a self taught tile contractor & artist into a wonderful instructor who teams up with other businesses for often sold out events with over 200 classes per year for many years to date. This experience caused him to simplify strategy and concepts so that they are approachable for a variety of skill levels. He realized that techniques were the fundamental ways to increase your skill vocabulary, so then you can look at something and have the confidence to say..."yes, I can do that"
